"Dangers of Addiction" A symposium in cooperation between the Faculties of Social Service and Nursing at Beni Suef University

Under the patronage of Dr. Mansour Hassan, President of Beni Suef University, the Faculty of Social Service organized a symposium entitled "Drug Addiction, Risks and Solutions from a Social Perspective" for the affiliates of the Faculty of Nursing. This was under the supervision of Dr. Hindawi Abdel Lahi, Dean of the Faculty of Social Service, and Dr. Hanan Al-Zablawy, Dean of the Faculty of Nursing. The symposium was lectured by Dr. Mohamed Saad Al-Sherbiny, Vice Dean of the Faculty of Social Service for Community Service and Environmental Development Affairs, and Dr. Hanan Ashry Abdel Hafeez, Head of the Department of Working with Groups, and in the presence of a number of faculty members and students.
This symposium comes within the framework of the university administration’s interest in cooperation between colleges in various activities to develop student awareness through holding a series of seminars, awareness events and joint workshops between colleges. The symposium addressed many concepts and terms about addiction and drugs, the causes leading to addiction and the most important proposed solutions to prevent it. At the end of the symposium, the door was opened for dialogue to answer all the questions and inquiries raised by the students.
