"Enhancing Political Participation" Symposium at Beni Suef University

Under the patronage of Dr. Mansour Hassan, President of Beni Suef University, the General Administration of Youth Care organized a "Dialogue Meeting to Enhance Political Participation" within the framework of cooperation with the Ministry of Youth and Sports, where Dr. Hesham Bashir, Professor of International Relations and International Law and Vice Dean of the Faculty of Political Science and Economics for Graduate Studies and Research at Beni Suef University, lectured. This came under the supervision of Captain Mohamed Farouk, General Manager of Youth Care, and implemented by the Administration of Student Unions and Families, amidst a remarkable attendance of students.
The symposium addressed the importance and role of youth in the renaissance of political life in Egypt by reviewing the components of the Egyptian political system and its development throughout history, with a focus on the legal framework regulating the exercise of political rights. The importance of political participation in building Egypt's future and the risks that may result from abstaining from it were also highlighted, through analyzing these axes, to provide a comprehensive understanding of the nature of Egyptian political life and its current and future challenges.
