Dr. Mansour Hassan, President of Beni Suef University, announced the selection of Dr. Safaa Ibrahim Muhammad Abdul-Ghani from the Faculty of Special Needs Sciences to participate in preparing the religious social responsibility guide to serve the public good in the State of Lebanon. This guide is the first of its kind in the Arab region, issued by the Institute for Citizenship and Diversity Management.
Dr. Mansour explained that the guide provides a clear framework for best practices in the field of religious social responsibility, which contributes to enhancing the role of religion in serving society and addressing contemporary challenges. One of the most prominent features of this guide is the selection of Dr. Safaa’s initiative “Disability is Determination, Not Defeat,” which was held in Minya Governorate as one of the most important initiatives held in Africa and was adopted as an important model for community initiatives. This selection came after reviewing several initiatives with diverse backgrounds among the participants, who came from multiple religious, cultural and ethnic backgrounds, extending between the continents of Asia (Lebanon, Syria, Iraq, Yemen) and Africa (Egypt, Tunisia, Morocco). This diversity played an important role in enriching the selection and presenting diverse viewpoints, which contributed to formulating a comprehensive vision that takes into account the various challenges and necessary responses for this category of people with special needs.
