President of Beni Suef University chairs meeting of Community Service and Environmental Development Affairs Council

Dr. Mansour Hassan, President of Beni Suef University, chaired the 219th meeting of the Community Service and Environmental Development Affairs Council, in the presence of the colleges’ vice deans for community service affairs.
The meeting discussed the proposals of : the Faculty of Medicine to conclude a cooperation protocol with the Generations of Life Makers Association to organize free medical convoys for a number of villages, and to organize the World Day in the Department of Psychiatry, also, the proposal of the Faculty of Nursing to hold a student conference entitled “Using New Technology and Innovation in Nursing Education”, the proposal of the Faculty of Agriculture to launch an initiative to rehabilitate palm trees, and to organize a symposium entitled “Microbiology for Entrepreneurship”, and the proposal of the Laser Institute to hold a workshop on laser applications in cooperation with the Arab Physical Society.
The meeting also discussed the proposals of : the Faculty of Graduate Studies for Advanced Sciences to hold an annual workshop for the Department of Energy Sciences and Engineering, the proposal of the Faculty of Social Service to hold a number of guidance seminars for students in the literacy project, the proposal of the Institute of Plants to hold a seminar entitled Molecular Genetics and Biotechnology, the proposal of the Faculty of Arts to organize a scientific seminar on climate change, the proposal of the Faculty of Applied Arts to hold an exhibition of students’ artwork, and the proposal of the Faculty of Technology and Education to hold a training course on occupational safety and health.
The meeting discussed the proposal of : the Faculty of Pharmacy to hold a symposium on first aid, and the proposal of the Faculty of Special Needs Sciences to hold a group of activities to support families of people with disabilities and present solutions to behavioral problems and develop the capabilities of their children. The Council also reviewed a number of reports for units with a special nature.
