Under the patronage of Dr. Mansour Hassan, President of Beni Suef University, the Faculty of Nursing organized a symposium entitled Supporting and Guiding Patients Breast Cancer "A Call for Hope" in cooperation with Baheya Breast Cancer Hospital and in coordination with the Crisis and Disaster Unit, under the supervision of Dr. Mohamed Nagi, Dean of the Faculty of Nursing and Dr. Hanan Al-Zablawy, Vice Dean of the Faculty for Community Service and Environmental Development Affairs The symposium discussed the treatment journey of women fighting breast cancer through the treatment navigation program and the role of each member of the navigation team from the beginning of receiving cases, then diagnosis, providing treatment, psychological and moral support, continuous communication, and overcoming the obstacles they face during the treatment journey Four topics were highlighted: implementation and sustainability, psychological services with a patient navigation program, the concept of patient navigation and core competency, and integrating patient navigation into nurses’ clinical care
