Students of the Faculty of Technology and Education, Beni Suef University, on a scientific visit to the “EGIC” ??Sanitary Pipes Factory

The Faculty of Technology and Education at Beni Suef University, under the auspices of Dr. Mansour Hassan, President of University, organized a scientific visit for students of the mechanical departments to the Egyptian-German "EGIC" factory for the manufacture of sanitary pipes in the light industries area, under the supervision of Dr. Atef Fadl, Dean of the Faculty, and Dr. Ahmed El-Sayed, Vice Dean of the Faculty for Community Service and Environmental Development Affairs.
Dr. Mansour explained that the visit is within the framework of the ongoing interest in enhancing the scientific and practical experience of the faculty students and getting to know closely the industrial processes and modern technologies used by the factory in the field of manufacturing metal connections, flexible connections and sanitary pipes. During the visit, a presentation was given on the establishment and departments of the factory, the products it produces, methods of controlling product quality, and occupational safety and health procedures followed in the factory, in addition to conducting an inspection tour of all departments of the factory to learn about the advanced technology used in the manufacture of metal connections, flexible connections and sanitary pipes, starting from melting copper and casting it using the continuous casting method to obtain solid and hollow copper rods.
The students expressed their happiness with the visit, which is a wonderful model of cooperation between academic and industrial institutions, and confirms the importance of continuous communication with the industrial sector to provide students with the knowledge and skills that qualify them for the labor market.
