President of Beni Suef University witnesses the Administrative Control Authority’s celebration of the International Anti-Corruption Day

Dr. Mansour Hassan, President of Beni Suef University, witnessed today at the seminar hall at the university, the activities of the Administrative Control Authority's celebration of the International Anti-Corruption Day, in the presence of the Head of the Administrative Control Authority Office in Beni Suef, a member of the Administrative Control Authority, Dr. Tarek Ali, Vice President of the University for Studies and Research, deans and vice deans of faculties, Mr. Mohamed Selim, Secretary General of the University, directors of faculties, and a group from the Student Union at the university.
During his speech, Dr. Mansour Hassan expressed his happiness with the Authority's celebration and holding a symposium on combating corruption at Beni Suef University, noting that this important symposium held within the framework of the political leadership's interest in preserving the capabilities of the Egyptian state and doubling its potential and capabilities by preventing, combating and eliminating corruption, realizing the danger of corruption as a major obstacle to sustainable development, stressing that combating corruption is a national duty that requires the combined efforts of everyone, explaining that the university's role is not limited to education and scientific research, but extends to include contributing to national and societal issues.
The university president praised the role played by the Administrative Control Authority at all levels, especially in spreading awareness, combating corruption, and the extent of cooperation with all relevant institutions in order to raise the level of the government apparatus and work to improve public services, in addition to establishing the principles of transparency and integrity in all elements of the administrative system. For his part, the head of the Control Authority office reviewed the concept of corruption, its types and negative effects, the Egyptian constitution in the field of combating corruption, the tasks and competencies of the Administrative Control Authority and the crimes it is specialized in controlling, the vision and mission of the National Academy for Combating Corruption, in addition to the role of the Authority in following up on administrative systems, uncovering the causes of shortcomings and combating violations in various institutions and bodies. He also showed a video about the Administrative Control Authority that explains the tasks, competencies, scope of work and organizational structure of the Authority. At the end of the meeting, an open dialogue took place between the attendees and the Authority's officials to answer all their inquiries related to the administrative system within the university. Dr. Mansour Hassan also presented the university's shield to the head of the Authority's office in appreciation of the fruitful cooperation between the two sides.
