Beni Suef National University students on a scientific visit to Amisal Salts and Minerals Company

Beni Suef National University, under the auspices of Dr. Mansour Hassan, President of the University, organized a scientific visit for students of the Petroleum Geology and Mining Program to the Amsal Company for Salts and Minerals in Fayoum Governorate. This was under the supervision of Dr. Abu Al-Hassan Abdel Mawgoud, Vice President of the University for Academic Affairs, Dr. Mamtaz Mohamed Hegab, Dean of the Engineering, Basic and Applied Sciences Sector, Dr. Mahmoud Sayed Mustafa, Director of the Petroleum Geology and Mining Program, and Dr. Ali Hassan Mohamed, Academic Advisor of the Program, in the presence of Eng. Hussein Hatem Shatia, Chairman of the Board of Directors.
The university president explained that the aim of the visit is to link academic study with the practical aspect of the curricula, introduce students to the industrial development map in the country and to learn about the job opportunities available to students. A presentation was given to the students at the company's headquarters to learn about its vision , mission, and the size of the company's investments. The mechanics and methods of extracting salts and minerals from Lake Qarun were also explained, within the framework of Beni Suef National University's plan to care about the practical and field aspect of students, and to link academic curricula with the requirements of the labor market, with the aim of graduating scientific cadres capable of competing and seizing job opportunities.
