Dr. Mansour Hassan, President of Beni Suef University, announced the participation of 50 male and female students from the youth cadres of Beni Suef University students in the Youth Vision Program to Confront Extremism for Egyptian university students. The program is organized by the Ministry of Youth and Sports in cooperation with the Al-Azhar Observatory for Combating Extremism, affiliated with the Sheikhdom of Al-Azhar Al-Sharif, and in cooperation with Egyptian universities.
The university president explained that the program includes sessions and workshops with university students to listen to their opinions and ideas and to engage in dialogue with lecturers specializing in topics related to extremist ideas. This is within the framework of the global role played by Al-Azhar Al-Sharif and its humanitarian message. The activities included a lecture entitled “Building Awareness” which aims to build youth awareness of all the dangers surrounding them, and the deceptive spread of the destructive ideas in a deceptive way to attract young people and make them fall for them. The activities also addressed how to confront extremism and how to prevent it.
He added that the program "Towards a Youth Vision to Confront Extremism and Terrorism" aims to confront extremism and terrorism with constructive, moderate thinking and positive behavior. In addition to promoting the values ??of citizenship and social responsibility, spreading the culture of tolerance and acceptance of others As well as identifying all the negative ideas that have emerged in our society and how to confront them.
