Faculty of Nursing, Beni Suef University celebrates World Mental Health Day

The Faculty of Nursing, Beni Suef University, under the auspices of Dr. Mansour Hassan, President of the University, organized a celebration of World Mental Health Day, which coincides with the scientific day of the Department of Psychiatric Nursing. That was under the supervision of Dr. Mohamed Nagi, Dean of the Faculty, and Dr. Hanan El-Zeblawy Hassan, Vice Dean of the Faculty for Community Service and Environmental Development Affairs. Dr. Iman Mohamed, Lecturer of Counseling Psychology at the Faculty of Arts, and Dr. Sherine Saeed, Lecturer of Pediatric Nursing, gave lectures at these events.
The activities of the day, which were organized in coordination with the Department of Mental Health Nursing, headed by Dr. Shaimaa Mohamed, included lectures on the importance of mental health for members of the medical and nursing staff and what follows with its impact on nursing and methods of improving the psychological factor of the patient, which helps in speeding up recovery and the relationship between physical and psychological diseases.
The activities also included a lecture on the impact of electronic games on the mental health and behavior of children , and what they lead to in terms of electronic addiction and control over the minds of young children. The lecture included an explanation and advice for parents about monitoring the games and sites that children visit to reduce this phenomenon. At the end of the day, the participants and the organizers of the event were honored.
