Faculty of Nursing, Beni Suef University celebrates World Polio Day

The Faculty of Nursing at Beni Suef University, under the auspices of Dr. Mansour Hassan, President of the University, organized the activities of the World Polio Day, which is celebrated worldwide on October 24, under the supervision of Dr. Mohamed Nagi, Dean of the Faculty, and Dr. Hanan El-Zeblawy, Vice Dean of the Faculty for Community Service and Environmental Development Affairs.
The day's activities, which were organized in coordination with the Pediatric Nursing Department, under the supervision of Dr. Sahar Sedky, included a presentation on the causes and symptoms of the disease, and the factors that contribute to infection. The presentation also addressed the necessary vaccinations for prevention, the symptoms of the vaccinations, the side effects resulting from vaccination and how to deal with them. The day also addressed developments in epidemic diseases such as monkeypox and the symptoms associated with it, prevention and treatment.
