Faculty of Nursing, Beni Suef University celebrates the International Day of Older Persons

The Faculty of Nursing at Beni Suef University, under the auspices of Prof. Dr. Mansour Hassan, President of University, organized an event to celebrate the International Day for Older Persons, under the supervision of Dr. Mohamed Nagi, Dean of the Faculty, and Dr. Hanan Al-Zablawy, Vice Dean of the Faculty for Community Service and Environmental Development Affairs, in coordination with the Community Health Nursing Department.
The celebration included many activities on caring for the elderly and how to deal with some of the changes and health problems associated with old age, through a series of discussions on spreading awareness of the importance of health awareness, medical care, healthy lifestyle and good nutrition.
It is worth noting that the International Day of Older Persons was approved by the United Nations as an annual global event celebrated on October 1, in order to raise awareness of the problems facing the elderly, whether health, social or psychological, and to celebrate what the elderly have achieved for society.
