Faculty of Nursing, Beni Suef University concludes activities of the Community Service and Environmental Development Sector

Under the auspices of Prof. Dr. Mansour Hassan, President of Beni Suef University, the Faculty of Nursing organized the closing ceremony of the activities of the Community Service and Environmental Development Sector at the Faculty, under the supervision of Dr. Sameh Al-Maraghi, Vice President of University for Community Service and Environmental Development Affairs, Dr. Mohamed Nagi Mohsen, Dean of the Faculty of Nursing, and Dr. Hanan Al-Zablawy Hassan, Vice Dean of the Faculty for Community Service and Environmental Development Affairs.
The university president explained that the college carried out many activities and events throughout the academic year 2023/2024, to serve the college and university members, and even extended beyond that to serve Beni Suef community as a whole, as 5 initiatives were organized, namely the breast cancer prevention initiative for women working at the university under the slogan "Check and be reassured", an initiative entitled "No drugs..... Yes to life", an initiative to save a human life under the slogan "Whoever saves a life is as if he saved all of humanity" with training in first aid at the university colleges, a university without smoking initiative, an initiative to measure blood pressure and diabetes for university members, blood donation campaigns for Gaza and a blood donation campaign in cooperation with the regional blood bank in the governorate and the blood bank at the university hospital, and participation in a number of comprehensive medical and awareness convoys, to the village of Tansa Bani Malo and the village of Kom Al-Sa'aida in the center of Beba, and the village of Dalas, and the village of Bani Adi in the center of Nasser in cooperation with the Decent Life Foundation within the initiative You are life, as well as participation in the comprehensive convoy for the elderly home ''Ahalina''.
A number of awareness courses and workshops were also organized, including a lecture on "Time Management and How to Deal with Burnout", a workshop on "Credit Hours and the Role of the Academic Advisor", a symposium on "Climate Change and Its Impact on Human Health", a workshop on "Medical Care in the Age of Artificial Intelligence and Digital Transformation" in cooperation with the Faculty of Computers and Artificial Intelligence, and a workshop on "Designing the Electronic Form on Google Forms and Microsoft Office".
An educational symposium at the Department of Psychiatric Nursing and Mental Health entitled "Climate Change and Its Impact on Mental Health"
A scientific day for the Department of Community Health entitled "Artificial Intelligence and Its Applications in Community Health Services"
A scientific symposium for the bridging program entitled "The Future of Nursing: Embracing Technology and Innovation", and a symposium on "Electronic Addiction and Internet Addiction" in cooperation with the Department of Psychiatry at the Faculty of Medicine, Beni Suef University
A symposium on "Labor Market Needs and the Nursing Distribution Mechanism", and a symposium entitled "Legal Consultation Day" under the slogan "Nursing and the Law", in addition to training courses for nursing staff members at the Health Insurance Authority for three days, at 18 hours to raise the efficiency of health visitors affiliated with health insurance, to improve the performance of critical unit nursing, and to train 200 nurses from the governorate's nursing leadership affiliated with the Health Affairs Directorate on advanced cardiopulmonary resuscitation and first aid, and a training program to develop supervisory and administrative skills in the hospital.
Participation in the activities of the Environmental Week by organizing awareness and educational seminars on human health, a safe environment, healthy habits, infectious diseases and immunity during the winter, and a campaign to measure blood pressure and diabetesfor members of the faculties of East of the Nile Complex, Beni Suef University, 330 acres, and activities with the external community such as the activities of the 16 days of combating violence against women and organizing a seminar and lectures entitled "Combating Female Genital Mutilation" at the Faculty of Nursing and at the Somsta Youth Center, and organizing a sports day for members of the Faculty of Nursing hosted by the Faculty of Physical Education.
At the conclusion of the day’s activities, the college administration extended thanks and appreciation to the university president for his full support and overcoming all difficulties. The college’s members, including faculty members, administrators, students, and support services, were also honored.
