Beni Suef University receives the evaluation committee for the Best Environmentally Friendly University competition

Under the patronage of Dr. Mansour Hassan, President of Beni Suef University, the university received today the evaluation committee for the Best Environmentally Friendly University competition which affiliated with the Supreme Council of Universities, in the presence of Dr. Sameh Al-Maraghi, Vice President of the University for the Community Service and Environmental Development Sector, Dr. Sama Al-Daq, Director of the International Classification and Sustainable Development Office, Mr/Mohamed Selim, General Secretary- of the University, members of the International Classification Office, and members of the Environmental Projects Office
The committee was formed under the chairmanship of Dr. Mohamed Sami, Vice President of Cairo University for Community Service and Environmental Development, and the membership of Dr. Ahmed Abdel Majeed at the Institute of Environmental Sanitary Engineering, Engineer Essam El-Sayed Abdel Fattah, Director of the Solar Energy Department, and Engineer Atfat Mohamed Farhan, Head of the North Upper Egypt Sector for Environmental Affairs
The university president explained that the competition aims to reach the best Egyptian green university by measuring the extent of the participating  of universities’ commitment in developing environmentally friendly infrastructure, pointing out that the competition depends on a number of standards, the most important of which are environmental preservation and sustainability, as well as standards of learning , scientific research and he university’s infrastructure, energy and climate change standards, waste management, and water management, in addition to transportation standards within the university, and environmental quality

Dr. Sameh Al-Maraghi indicated that the committee visited a number of sites on the university campus and East Nile complexes, including Earth Sciences, the University Hospital, workshops, the College of Applied Arts, and the College of Graduate Studies for Advanced Sciences
