President of Beni Suef University witnesses the celebration of Doctor's Day

Dr. Mansour Hassan, President of Beni Suef University, witnessed today the celebration of Doctor’s Day No. 46, organized by Beni Suef Doctors Syndicate, to honor 85 exemplary and distinguished doctors from various specialties and entities at the governorate level. This was in the presence of Dr. Mohamed Hani Ghoneim, Governor of Beni Suef, Dr. Sameh Al-Maraghi, Vice President of University for Community Service and Environmental Development Affairs, Dr. Khaled Al-Hadidi, Dean of the Faculty of Medicine, Dr. Reda Awad, Medical Advisor of the President of the Republic, Dr. Osama Abdel-Hay, Head of the Egyptian Doctors Syndicate, Dr. Imad Al-Banna, President of Beni Suef Doctors Syndicate and Executive Director of Beni Suef University Hospitals, Dr. Mohamed Youssef, former Undersecretary of the Ministry of Health, Dr. Samah Ahmed Gad, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Health, and a large number of faculty members at the Faculty of Medicine at Beni Suef University, and a group of doctors from Beni Suef Governorate from various bodies, agencies and hospitals, at the conference center.
Dr. Mansour Hassan thanked and appreciated all of Egypt’s doctors for the efforts and sacrifices they are making to raise the efficiency of the medical system and serve the Egyptian citizen, as the Egyptian doctor demonstrated his ability to confront situations and crises and the sacrifices made by doctors during Corona pandemic, especially the doctors of Beni Suef Governorate, who worked as a beehive to confront this global crisis, stressing that the university, represented by the university hospitals and colleges of the medical sector, is cooperating with the various medical bodies in the governorate, represented by the Ministry of Health, the Health Insurance Authority, and others, to provide the best possible medical care for the Beni Suef citizens, and that the university is in the process of completing the National Center for Rehabilitation of Children with Special Needs. It is the first medical center of its kind in the Middle East, which is in line with Egypt’s 2030 development plan and modern strategies for higher education and inter-specialization for six different medical colleges to serve children with special needs.
Dr. Mohamed Hani, Governor of Beni Suef, confirmed that the medical system in Egypt is based on redemption and sacrifice. The doctor is in a new battle every day, and that there are no doctors like the Egyptian ones at the world level. Egypt is the cradle of science and medicine, and humanity is what drives the Egyptian doctor, pointing to the success of the Medical system in the face of various crises.
Dr. Osama Abdel-Hay, head of the Egyptian Doctors Syndicate, also expressed his happiness at his presence during the honoring of his fellow doctors and sons in Beni Suef Governorate. The honor emphasizes the noble and lofty meanings of the medical profession and the role of doctors in alleviating the pain and suffering of every patient.
Dr. Imad Al-Banna, head of the Beni Suef Physicians Syndicate, added that Doctor’s Day this year coincides with the anniversary of the establishment of the first school of modern medicine in the Arab region and Africa, which was established by Muhammad Ali in 1827, which indicates the nobility and loftiness of the medical profession, so honorable models from the governorate’s doctors were chosen of different ages, specializations and entities to honor them this year, who were chosen according to the extent of professional and ethical excellence in dealing with colleagues and patients.
At the end of the celebration, Dr. Mansour Hassan was honored and gifted by the Doctors' Syndicate shield in appreciation of his efforts to improve the medical system and develop health services provided to patients through Beni Suef University Hospitals and the colleges of the medical sector.
