Under the patronage of Dr. Mansour Hassan, President of Beni Suef University, the Faculty of Nursing organized a symposium entitled “Electronic Addiction and Internet Addiction” in cooperation with the Department of Psychiatry at the College of Medicine, under the supervision of Dr. Sameh Al-Maraghi, Vice President of the University for Community Service and Environmental Development Affairs, Dr. Mohamed Naji Muhaisen, Dean of the College of Nursing, Dr. Khaled Al-Hadidi, Dean of the College of Medicine, and Dr. Hanan Al-Zabalawy Hassan, Vice President of the College of Nursing for Community Service Affairs. and environmental development, and Dr. Hani Hamed Desouky, Vice Dean of the College of Medicine for Community Service and Environmental Development Affairs
where Dr. Marwa Safwat, the  lecturer in psychiatry, lectured in it 
The symposium discussed the causes and manifestations of Internet addiction and its negative impact on physical and psychological health, within the framework of spreading the culture of awareness and strengthening the protection policy  which adopted by the university, for faculty members, students and university workers, especially about the danger of Internet addiction, and how to find appropriate treatment and proposals to reduce its risks. It also discussed Symposium on new research that  related to this topic
