President of Beni Suef University inaugurates the 29th Scout and the 10th Guidance Festival for the university's male and female scouts.

Today, Dr. Mansour Hassan, President of Beni Suef University, inaugurated the activities of the 29th Scouting and 10th Guidance Festival, for the university’s male and female scouts, with the participation of 450 male and female students from 17 colleges which will continue until next May 2nd, in the presence of a number of deans of the participating colleges, and Dr. Hossam El-Hawari, Student activities coordinator, Mr. Muhammad Selim, Secretary General of the University, and Captain / Muhammad Farouk, Director General of the General Administration for Youth Welfare.

The activities began with a parade of the participating colleges, a flag salute, the Republican anthem, and an artistic segment in sign language.
Dr. Mansour explained that the festival aims to develop and refine the skills of scouts and raise their efficiency through the festival’s activities, which include many activities and competitions, in addition to exchanging experiences between participants and raising awareness of the goals of scouts within the university, which aim to serve and develop the community and direct the energies of youth towards serving the nation, as well as good preparation for participation in external competitions.

The University President stressed the importance of the Scout Movement within the university community, because it provides young people with solid awareness, instills in them many distinguished moral values, and deepens in them the values of loyalty, belonging, and the spirit of volunteerism among them, pointing out that the University provides all support to the Scout Movement within the University because of the prominent role it plays in helping young people develop their physical, mental and social energies.
It is worth noting that the university president inspected the festival camp grounds, which includes all participating colleges, and listened to a detailed explanation about preparing the camp and took souvenir photos with the students.
