The Faculty of Earth Science, Beni Suef University organizes a scientific trip to Quseir region

Under the patronage of Prof. Dr. Mansour Hassan, President of Beni Suef University, the College of Earth Science organized a scientific trip for field training for third-year students to the Qusayr region in the Red Sea Governorate, under the supervision of Dr. Ibrahim Abdel-Gayed, Dean of the College, out of the university’s belief in field training to transfer expertise and skills from specialized cadres to students.
The trip aims to train students to study the basement rocks on the Qift Qusayr Road, study the ophiolite rocks in the region and the mineral ores they contain of high economic value, and study the relationship between the basement rocks and neighboring sedimentary sequences, in addition to studying the relationship between the basement rocks and neighboring sedimentary sequences, and the economic importance of the rock sequences, especially gold ore, in the Al-Fawakhir area and its environs
It should be noted that Dr. Ali Qorani Selim, professor at the Department of Mineral Resources and former dean of the college, Dr. Ahmed Al-Sayyed Abu Shareb, assistant professor of structural geology and head of the engineering geology department at the college, scientific supervisor of the training, and Dr. Hatem Saad Bakry Ramadan is an Assistant Professor of Applied Geophysics and the Director of the Quality Unit at the college. He is also the overall supervisor of field trips and training at the college, as well as a lecturer in the Department of Mineral Wealth. Dr. Rabie Ali Mohamed is a lecturer in the Department of Mineral Wealth at the college.
At the end of the training, the students wrote comprehensive reports about what was studied and visited during the training period, which were then submitted to the scientific supervisor of the training to evaluate the students' performance and the extent of their benefit from the practical training.
