President of Beni Suef University announces the final recommendations of the Eighteenth Conference of Pediatrics

Prof. Dr. Mansour Hassan, President of Beni Suef University, announced today the recommendations of the Eighteenth Pediatrics Conference, held at the end of last February and witnessed the presence of a large number of pediatric professors from various universities in Egypt to discuss children’s diseases, especially blood diseases, through a number of lectures and scientific discussions.

Recommending the necessity of developing guidelines for all pediatric diseases and distributing them to all doctors and teaching them at universities, as well as distributing guidelines for blood transfusion or one of its components to children who suffer from various blood diseases, anemia or hemophilia, etc., to the various hospitals that receive these children.

Recommending that guidelines for dealing with sickle cell anemia and how to deal with the chronic excruciating pain suffered by these sick children be printed and distributed to doctors working in emergency and intensive care departments.

Recommending expanding the application of the use of beneficial bacteria called probiotics and their effect in treating many diseases and conducting studies that confirm their benefit. The problem of bleeding in children was also discussed, especially hemophilia, which affects a significant percentage of children in the world, as well as immune platelet deficiency disease. The participants discussed traditional methods as well as modern medicines for treating these conditions, comparing the traditional method and modern medicines, and recommending increased attention to this problem and increased state support for modern treatment methods to treat these diseases.
