The Faculty of Tourism and Hotels, Beni Suef University organizes a scientific visit to the Pharaonic ships in Giza

Under the patronage of Prof. Dr. Mansour Hassan, President of Beni Suef University, the Department of Hotel Management at the Faculty of Tourism and Hotels organized a scientific visit to the Pharaonic ships in Giza, under the supervision of Dr. Ghada Ali Hammoud, Dean of the Faculty, Dr. Nahla Mohamed Helmy, Head of the Department of Hotel Management at the Faculty, and Dr. Wael Mohamed Abdel Nabi, Vice Dean of the Faculty for Education and students Affairs, and in coordination with Dr. Abdel Masih Gaber, Director General of Pharaonic Ships.
The visit began with a training session for the students aiming to introduce the Pharaonic ships as a cultural and tourism symbol in Cairo, and explain the ethics of the hospitality profession in tourist facilities and how to deal with customers. Some operating procedures in hospitality facilities were also explained, such as purchasing, storing, cooking, and service, and focusing on cleanliness, disinfection, security, and health procedures and occupational safety, in addition to reviewing the types of restaurants and visitors.
The visit included an entertaining trip for the students on the Nile at the floating restaurant, one of the Pharaonic cruise ship facilities. The students expressed how happy they were and benefited from the visit by obtaining valuable information that developed their skills and supported the information they acquired in the college’s academic courses.
