Beni Suef University Council approves the organization of two scientific symposium by Research Institute of Medicinal and Aromatic Plants

Beni Suef University Council, headed by Dr. Mansour Hassan, University President, in its 230th session, approved the proposals of Research Institute of Medicinal and Aromatic Plants regarding organizing two scientific symposiums, the first entitled “Climate Changes and their Impact on the Production of Medicinal Plants” and the second “Carbon Certificates Initiative.” This was attended by Vice presidents of the university, deans of colleges, and members of the council.
The university president indicated that the first symposium aims to define the impact of climate changes on production in general and on the cultivation of new varieties of medicinal and aromatic plants that are tolerant to the impact of these climate changes, as well as the methods of agricultural practices used in the production of plants and aromatic plants to reach the highest productivity and quality of active materials in light of the increase in negative effects of climate change.
While the “Carbon Certificates Initiative” symposium aims to identify the carbon certificates market and ways to reduce carbon emissions through these certificates.
