Beni Suef University Council agrees to hold a number of seminars at the Faculty of Agriculture

Beni Suef University Council, headed by Dr. Mansour Hassan, President of the University, approved in its 230th session that the Faculty of Agriculture organize a number of training courses, including “Techniques for Rationalizing the Use of Irrigation Water in New Land Reclamation Projects,” in cooperation with the Egyptian Society for Land Sciences, and another on “the pros and cons of social media in advancing the agricultural sector in Egypt,” which came in the presence of the vice presidents of the university, deans of colleges, and members of the council.
The University President explained that the student of the Faculty of Agriculture must combine the theoretical and practical aspects, which is done through training courses and workshops for students inside and outside the college due to the importance of agriculture as one of the basic pillars of the Egyptian economy, noting that the goal of the symposium “rationalizing the use of irrigation water.” is to showcase more modern technologies and solutions to make optimal use of the water resources available in Egypt with the aim of reclaiming more agricultural lands with high efficiency while maintaining the sustainability of water use. This symposium aims to focus on the importance of rationalizing water consumption in the agricultural sector to ensure the provision of water for future generations.
He added that the primary purpose behind holding the symposium “The Pros and Cons of Social Media in Promoting the Agricultural Sector in Egypt” is to educate the college’s faculty members, graduates, and students on how to use social media positively to support and advance the Egyptian agricultural sector. Highlighting the potential negatives of some social media applications and how to address them.
