Under the patronage of Dr. Mansour Hassan, President of Beni Suef University, the Faculty of Special Needs Science organized a symposium on self-protection for children with determination, under the supervision of Dr. Walid Farouk, Dean of the Faculty, and in the presence of Dr. Mohamed Ajwa, Assistant Professor in the Autism Spectrum Disorder Department, representatives of the Directorate of Education, parents, teachers and a number of students.
The university president explained that the symposium dealt with teaching mothers and educators how to raise awareness of their children about protecting their bodies, and indicators of exposure to abuse that could negatively affect the development of their children, stressing the importance of socializing children with special needs to ensure their protection from exploitation, pointing out that the symposium aims to deepen awareness among parents of children with special needs regarding the proper method of education and health care.
