A field visit by students of the Faculty of Economic Studies and Political Science, Beni Suef University, to the Egyptian Ministry of Finance

Under the patronage of Dr. Mansour Hassan, President of Beni Suef University, the Faculty of Economic Studies and Political Science organized a field visit to the main headquarters of the Egyptian Ministry of Finance, under the supervision of Dr. Sameh Al-Maraghy, Vice President of the University for Community Service and Environmental Development Affairs, Dr. Naglaa Bakr, Dean of the Faculty, and Dr. Musaad Al-Ghayesh, Vice Dean of the Faculty for Community Service and environmental development affairs. . The delegation received Dr. Sarah Eid, Director of the Transparency and Community Participation Unit, and the official spokesperson for state budget affairs at the Ministry of Finance.
Dr. Mansour explained that this visit comes within the framework of the practical application of academic and theoretical study, and the students’ exposure to practical reality, by training the students on some financial concepts, represented in the concept of participatory budgeting and the mechanism of financial policy work, and learning about some of the activities of the Ministry of Finance in various governorates, as well as Some important topics were discussed, most notably the national model for participatory budgeting, and the effective role played by the Ministry’s Transparency Unit.
It should be noted that the meeting witnessed great interaction from college students on the various topics that were discussed during the visit related to financial policy tools in the country, and all their questions and inquiries were answered.
