Dr. Mansour Hassan, President of Beni Suef University, announced the training of students of the Faculty of Earth Science at the Sukari Mine for the first time, with the aim of assisting them in their graduation projects, under the supervision of Dr. Ibrahim Abdel Gaid, Dean of the Faculty, and Dr. Safia Muhammad Ali, Vice Dean for Community Service Affairs.
For his part, the University President stressed the importance of field training for students at all levels of programs because of its strong contribution to transferring academic science and knowledge to the practical applied approach, as well as providing students with many important skills that qualify them for the labor market, raises students’ morale and enhances self-learning skills. Pointing out that during the training, the students learned about the stages of working in the mine, starting with determining the location and blasting the rocks, then transporting the rock rubble, passing through the mill, and then into the actual manufacturing and refining room.
