Under the patronage of Dr. Mansour Hassan, President of Beni Suef University, the Youth Welfare Administration organized a visit for a delegation of university students to St. Mark’s Cathedral in Abbasiya, under the supervision of Dr. Gamal Abdel Rahman, Vice President of University for Education and Student Affairs Sector, Dr. Hossam El Hawary, Student Activities Coordinator, and Mr. Mohamed Farouk, Director General of Youth Welfare.
The visit aims to emphasize the role of religious institutions in spreading the principles of tolerance, acceptance of others, and coexistence, and that Egyptians are one hand, with the aim of educating young people and protecting them against extremist ideas, and correcting misconceptions spread by terrorist organizations. The visit included a meeting within the Coptic Clerical College and included a dialogue on the nature of Egyptian nationalism identity is derived from the depths of the three Egyptian civilizations: Pharaonic, Coptic, and Islamic.
