Dr. Mansour Hassan, President of Beni Suef University, announced that students from the Faculty of Agriculture won two prizes in the “FAO Jacket” competition which Organized by the FAO in cooperation with the Academy of Scientific Research, 22 agricultural colleges at the Egyptian university level participated in the competition, in addition to a number of private universities. Participation took place under the supervision of Dr. Gamal Abdel Rahman, Vice President of the University for Education and Student Affairs, and Dr. Abdel Latif Hisham, Dean of the Faculty of Agriculture, in coordination. With Dr. Khaled Adly Muhammad, supervisor of the FAO model in Beni Suef and general coordinator of FAO activities at the college
For his part, Dr. Mansour Hassan stressed his keenness for students to participate in these events in order to hone their skills and qualify them for the labor market, and his support for such competitions that help students acquire many skills, praising the performance of the participating student teams and their obtaining two awards, noting that the ideas that Proposed by students, presents innovative solutions using modern technologies with the possibility of applying its results and benefiting from them in the field Dr. Abdul Latif Hisham, Dean of the College, pointed out that the student team consisting of student Alaa Hussein Sayed, student Israa Adel Ali, and student Mayar Moamen won an award in the smart agriculture and programming track, and the team consisting of student Israa Rajab Abdel Tawab and student Aya Anwar won an award in the Applied Science research track , pointing out that the value of the award for each team is funding amounting to 15 thousand pounds provided by the Academy of Scientific Research
