The International Classification Office congratulated Dr. Mansour Hassan, President of Beni Suef University, for the university being ranked 301st globally and fifth locally according to the Indonesian classification of green universities and presented him a classification certificate. The university ranked eighth locally and 860-841 globally in its first participation in the British QS Sustainability Classification. This came during the University Council No. 228, held this morning.
This came in the presence of Dr. Mohamed Hani Ghoneim, Governor of Beni Suef, the vice presidents of the university, deans of colleges, and Dr. Samaa Al-Daq, director of the Office of International Classification and Sustainable Development
  The university president explained that the Indonesian classification is one of the most important international classifications for green, environmentally friendly universities It depends on many basic criteria, the most important of which are location, infrastructure, green spaces, education, scientific research, energy and water management, pointing out that the classification confirmed that the university contributed to reducing negative environmental impacts, and provided a comprehensive view of the culture of sustainability on campus, through commitment to environmental , Social and economic sustainability, as Beni Suef University achieved advanced positions in the standards of water, energy, climate, infrastructure, pollution, education, and scientific research in sustainability
 It also achieved the highest standard in water
He pointed out that the QS global classification depends on many criteria, including academic reputation, the ratio of professors to students, academic research, the number of research which published in international journals, and qualitative citations in various specializations.
For her part, Dr. Samaa Al-Daq, Director of the International Classification and Sustainable Development Office, indicated that the classification embodied the university’s role in many development axes according to the strategy of transforming the university into a fourth-generation university that focuses on the environmental system and encouraging scientific research in the field of sustainability, environmental preservation, and reducing...
