Beni Suef University advances 70 positions globally and achieves the fifth place locally according to the Indonesian classification of Green universities.

Prof. Dr. Mansour Hassan, President of Beni Suef University, announced today that the university has progressed by 70 positions globally and 4 positions nationally compared to the previous year, achieving the 301st place globally and the 5th place locally in the Indonesian classification of Green universities.

The university president clarified that the Indonesian ranking is one of the most significant global assessments concerned with environmentally friendly green universities. It relies on several key criteria, including the site, infrastructure, green spaces, education, scientific research, energy, and water management. He highlighted that the ranking affirmed the university's contribution to reducing negative environmental impacts, presenting a comprehensive perspective on sustainability culture within the campus. This was achieved through commitment to environmental, social, and economic aspects of sustainability. Beni Suef University secured advanced positions in water, energy, climate, infrastructure, pollution, education, and scientific research in sustainability. Moreover, it attained the highest standard in water management.

Dr. Samaa El-Dak, Director of the Office for International Rankings and Sustainable Development, emphasized that the ranking embodies the university's role in various development aspects according to the transformation strategy towards fourth-generation universities that prioritize the ecosystem, encourage scientific research in sustainability, and focus on environmental preservation and combating climate change, aligning with Egypt's Vision 2030.
