Under the patronage of Dr. Mansour Hassan, President of Beni Suef University, the College of Developmental Social work organized a symposium entitled Developing Awareness of Political Participation, under the supervision of Dr. Gamal Abdel Rahman, Vice President of the University for Education and Student Affairs, Dr. Abu Al-Hassan Abdel Mawjoud, Dean of the College, and Dr. Hindawi Abdullah, Vice Dean of the College for Education and Student Affairs, in cooperation with( Students for Egypt ) under the supervision of Dr. Ahmed Farouk Elias, general coordinator of ( Students for Egypt) at the university, and Dr. Mukhles Ramadan, coordinator of student activities and coordinator of ( Students for Egypt ) at the college.

The symposium discussed the ancient history of Egypt, the strength of the Egyptian state in facing challenges, and the necessity of educating students about the importance of participating in the upcoming electoral elections as a national right and duty, as it is a fundamental pillar of democracy, as their political participation represents a civilized message that consolidates the values of citizenship and belonging. The concepts of democracy, political participation, not paying attention to rumors, and the importance of youth participation in college, as well as the importance of social work and its role in motivating citizens and making them aware of the importance of political participation, were also discussed.
