President of Beni Suef University announces the recommendations of the Second Scientific Conference of the Faculty of Mass Communication

Beni Suef University, under the patronage of Dr. Mansour Hassan, President of the University, concluded the activities of the Second Scientific Conference of the Faculty of Mass Communication on “Digital Media between Interactive Environments and New Virtual Worlds,” which was organized by the Faculty of Mass Communication under the supervision of Dr. Abdel Aziz Al-Sayyid, Dean of the Faculty and President of the Conference, and included a number of discussion panels and fruitful research and media sessions, as the conference, which was held over two days, witnessed a distinguished presence of the most prominent media professors who laid the principles and foundations of media in Egypt and the Arab world, in addition to prominent media figures.
Dr. Mansour Hassan explained that the conference came up with many recommendations, including developing more effective mechanisms to confront the spread of false digital content and address its effects in general and in times of crises in particular, and supporting the concept of digital media education, which is established for better use of digital media and is linked to the rational use of its means through major courses at various educational levels, and taking decisive measures regarding any unethical or unprofessional digital media transgressions at the local and external levels, and considering these measures as a general diplomatic context on which international relations are founded.
The university president stressed the need for the Faculty of Mass Communication at Beni Suef University to adopt a code of conduct for the ethics and rules of using artificial intelligence tools in media institutions in cooperation with media experts in Egypt, and to link curricula in Mass Communication colleges and institutes to technological development in media institutions and to conduct more media studies that focus on virtual worlds and constantly linking them to the audience’s preferences, in addition to the conscious transfer of foreign experiences in the field of media production through the new virtual worlds by filtering these experiences and reformulating them in a way that is consistent with the Arab reality to be more effective.
