Prof. Dr. Mansour Hassan, President of Beni Suef University, announced that the Faculty of Special Needs Science will organize a symposium entitled ''Literacy Requirement'', under the supervision of Dr. Sameh Al-Maraghi, Vice President of the University for Community Service and Environmental Development, Dr. Walid Farouk Hassan, Dean of the College, and Dr. Mona Kamal, Vice President of the College for Community Service and Environmental Development Affairs and Dr. Muhammad Saged, Director of Literacy Unit.
The University President stressed the importance of the symposium, which is in line with the university’s role in serving society through participation in literacy and adult education, and the necessity of confronting illiteracy, rejecting violence and extremism, and supporting alphabetical and numerical illiteracy programs, noting that the symposium is within a series of awareness seminars held by the community service sector raises awareness of the literacy requirement, mechanisms for applying for the literacy project, and modern procedures to help students fulfill the literacy requirement.
