In conjunction with World Diabetes Day, Beni Suef University is organizing an awareness day about diabetes, its prevention, and treatment.

Under the patronage of Prof. Dr. Mansour Hassan, President of Beni Suef University, the College of Nursing organized an awareness day about diabetes and how to prevent and treat it, the event was supervised by Prof.Dr. Sameh Al-Maraghi, Vice President of the University for Community Service and Environmental Development Affairs, Prof. Dr. Mohamed Nagi, Dean of the College, and Dr. Hanan Al-Zabalawi, Vice President of the College for Community Service and Environmental Development. The activities included reaching out to all employees and raising their awareness, with the participation of students from "For the Sake of Egypt" initiative. Workshops and lectures on diabetes were conducted in which Dr. Tasnim Ragab and Dr. Abeer Badawi lectured amid a remarkable presence of faculty members, employees and students.
These activities aim to raise awareness about the impact of diabetes on society, encourage early diagnosis, support those affected, and raise awareness of ways to prevent diabetes or delay its onset, by following a healthy diet, practicing physical activity, and enhancing the role of the family in health education for diabetes treatment and prevention of complications, increasing awareness about the warning signs of diabetes, and providing the medicines, techniques, support, and care that all diabetics need.
