Beni Suef University Council approves the Faculty of Nursing’s proposal to hold awareness courses on disabilities

 Beni Suef University Council, headed by Prof. Dr. Mansour Hassan, University President, approved, in its 226th session, the Faculty of Nursing’s proposal to hold awareness courses on disabilities and how to deal with them in cooperation with the Faculty of Science for  Special Needs. This was in the presence of the university’s vice presidents, college deans, and council members.

The University President explained that the aim of these courses is to train on how to deal with students with disabilities through a number of practical and educational lectures to introduce the types of disabilities and explain the ethics of dealing with people of determination, stressing the university’s keenness to provide the opportunity for students with disabilities and enable them to teach and learn well in an appropriate manner to the type of disability, providing various educational means, and facilitating services and means of care for them, to integrate people of determination with society through participation in various sports, cultural, artistic, scientific, and social activities.
The Council also agreed to hold awareness sessions on breast cancer prevention for women working at the university, how to prevent it, the benefit of screening and early detection of tumors, and its impact on the speed of recovery of the affected person, out of belief in the necessity of raising awareness of breast cancer.
