Beni Suef University Council honors the team of the Faculty of Applied Arts that won second place in the handicraft development competition in Qalyubia Governorate.

Today, during its 226th session, Beni Suef University Council, headed by Prof. Dr. Mansour Hassan, University President, honored the team of the Faculty of Applied Arts that won second place in the Handicrafts Development Competition, organized under the patronage of His Excellency President / Abdel Fattah El-Sisi in Qalyubia Governorate, and organized by the Egyptian Council of Ministers, represented by the Enterprise Development and Egyptian industries Fund. The honoring was attended by Dr. Mohamed Hani Ghoneim, Governor of Beni Suef, university’s vice presidents, college deans, and council members.
The honor included Dr. Mohamed Ahmed Madi, Dean of the College, Dr. Mohamed Hamed, the guest supervisor of the team, the student / Iman Khaled Waheed, the team leader, student / Maryam Yousry, a member of the team, student / Ola Rabie, a member of the team, and student Carolus Walid, a member of the team.
For his part, the University President expressed his sincere congratulations to the college and the work team participating in the exhibition for its effective contribution and winning second place amidst the competition of nearly 20 Egyptian universities, pointing out that the team was honored at the Our Heritage Exhibition on the back of the college winning second place, noting that the competition included Developing the industry and craft of henna firewood in the village of Mit Kenana in Qalyubia Governorate.
It is worth noting that products developed in terms of industry, marketing, and training were selected to be exhibited at our heritage exhibition and one of the college’s work team members, Iman Khaled Waheed, was chosen from among the project work team to meet His Excellency / President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi and present the projects of the Council of Ministers and the Fund to His Excellency.
