Beni Suef University reaches the finals in the “Youth for Development” initiative

Dr. Mansour Hassan, President of Beni Suef University, announced that two teams of university students have reached the finals in the “Youth for Development” initiative, which is organized in cooperation between the Ministry of Planning and Economic Development and the Institute The National Institute for Governance and Sustainable Development, and the Supreme Council of Universities, in implementation of the directives of His Excellency the President of the Republic, Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, for the participation of young people in making development projects and policies, at the headquarters of the Ministry of Planning and Economic Development, where the university participated in the qualifiers with two projects that were judged among the 28 development projects that were submitted by Through 14 participating universities Dr. Mansour Hassan explained that the Youth for Development Initiative is an integrated program that aims to raise university youth’s awareness of sustainable development goals through a set of activities that include seminars, lectures, training, and competition in providing innovative solutions and development projects to contribute to providing solutions to local and national issues Dr. Hala Al-Sanoussi, coordinator of the “Youth for Development” initiative, indicated that the national arbitration committee included Ambassador Nabila Makram Ebeid, the former Minister of Immigration, Dr. Nadia Zakhary, the former Minister of Scientific Research, Dr. Gamal Sousse, President of Benha National University, and Dr. Mohamed Salah Al-Badri, a member of the Senate. Dr. Jacqueline Camille, Executive Director of Nahdet El Mahrousa Association It should be noted that the university submitted two projects, the first of which is “Producing green hydrogen on a commercial level from microalgae as an environmentally friendly energy source” under the supervision of Dr. Ola Hamouda. The team included Wael Ahmed Fathi Al-Sayyed, the presentation official, and the students Ahmed Fathi Sayyed, Aya Talaat Muhammad, and Rahma taha Sayed, and Hadeer Hamada Ahmed, while the second project is “Aquaponics unit for growing rice and fish from the concept of sustainable export.” Under the supervision of Dr. Jihan Fouad Muhammad Mahmoud, the team included students Youmna Abdel Moez Ahmed Hassan, Mai Kamal El Din Hussein Al Senussi, Areej Osama Saeed Abdel Qawi, and Reem Ibrahim Farid Ibrahim.
