The Faculty of Earth Sciences at Beni Suef University organized a workshop entitled “Mining Geology and Geophysics”, under the patronage of Dr. Mansour Hassan, President of the University, and under the supervision of Dr. Ibrahim Abdel Gaid, Dean of the Faculty, and Dr. Safia Muhammad Ali, Vice Dean of the Faculty for Community Service and Environmental Development Affairs, lectures were given by Dr. Ahmed Mustafa El-Sayed Abdel-Gawad, Head of the Geophysics Department at the Faculty of Science, Ain Shams University and Head of the Geology Division at the Scientific Syndicate, in the presence of faculty members and students.
Dr. Mansour explained that this workshop aims to prepare scientific cadres specialized in the fields of geophysical studies and their applications in research and exploration for petroleum, groundwater, mineral ores, antiquities and treasures, and soil study for structural and environmental engineering purposes, to meet the requirements of the labor market and provide them with practical skills that conform to the standards of the National Authority for Quality Assurance of Education and Accreditation to advance scientific research and community services.
