Students of the Faculty of Navigation Science and Space Technology, under the patronage of Dr. Mansour Hassan, President of Beni Suef University, and under the supervision of Dr. Osama Shalabya, Dean of the Faculty, designed and implemented a model of a "CubeSat" satellite for remote sensing for marine purposes. The project aims a model of a "Cube Sat" satellite for remote sensing purposes for marine purposes, the project aims to revolutionize the field of CubeSat missions, enabling more intelligent and efficient space exploration efforts.ace exploration efforts.
The President of University confirmed that the College of Navigation Science and Space Technology is the first of its kind in the Middle East in the fields of astronautics and space applications and technology, appreciating the efforts made by faculty members and the auxiliary body in training and qualifying students through modern curricula that keep pace with all that is new in the field of space, training courses and signing of cooperation protocols with the Egyptian Space Agency, as all this resulted in the emergence of graduation projects for the first batch of the Faculty of Navigation Science at a decent and honorable level.
It is worth noting that the Cube Sat satellite project includes various aspects of Cube Sat missions, and focuses on developing strong subsystems based on the ARM architecture and implementing the real-time operating system (TTRD OS). These subsystems do not only include safety technologies, safe failure mechanisms, and comprehensive self-monitoring capabilities for reliable space systems, but also integrate the ground control station, as the ground control station allows remote monitoring and control of the Cube Sat, while advanced artificial intelligence algorithms analyze the images captured by the satellite. Moreover, advanced control algorithms are used to determine the exact position and control systems (ADCS), ensuring precise guidance and maneuvering. In addition, the project includes the design of the orbit to improve the path of the Cube Sat for specific mission objectives by integrating these diverse components.
