Dr. Mansour Hassan, President of Beni Suef University, announced today that the university has progressed by an average of 35 international centers compared to last year In the Dutch Leiden classification for the year 2023, where Beni Suef University was ranked 1097 last year, while the university ranked 1062, out of a total of 1411 international universities and 13 Egyptian universities that were included in the classification, with the participation of 30,000 universities.
The university president explained that the Dutch classification depends on the global scientific publication in the Clarivate database, the quality of these referred researches, and their relevance to development plans, as the university participated in 1098 research papers for the period 2018-2021 Pointing out that the university adopts a research strategy based on encouraging scientific research, international publication, and overcoming obstacles facing researchers, praising the role of researchers and their efforts in international publishing to raise classification and keep pace with global progress and increase interest in applied research that serves society, and works to keep pace with the goals of Egypt's development plan. sustainable 2030 Dr. Sama El-Daq, Director of the International Classification Office, thanked and appreciated the university president for his encouragement of scientists and researchers, his support for the postgraduate studies and research sector, and his strong desire to make it a research university, as the university contributed 119 papers in the first quarter, with a rate of 10.8%, achieving second place among Egyptian universities.
