The Faculty of Science for People with Special Needs organized a symposium entitled Voluntary work and its role in community service, under the auspices of Dr. And Dr. Ahmed Allam, Vice Dean for Community Service and Environmental Development, lectured by Dr. Safaa Ibrahim Abdel-Ghani, a teacher at the Department of Language and Speech Disorders, and Dr. Mohamed Rashdan, a teacher with hearing disabilities at the college.
Dr. Mansour Hassan stressed that the university is keen to participate in organizing awareness seminars in various colleges with the aim of building awareness among students and urging them to participate in volunteer work and community service, stressing the importance of voluntary work for university students and its positive impact that benefits the individual, family and society. The symposium included the concept of volunteering and the different types of volunteering. Examples of service and volunteer bodies in Egypt were presented, such as Life Makers and the Red Crescent.
