Faculty of Physical Education at Beni Suef University organizes a symposium on combating drugs and addiction

The Faculty of Physical Education at Beni Suef University, under the auspices of Dr. Mansour Hassan, President of University, organized a symposium on combating drugs and addiction, under the supervision of Dr. Mahmoud Ragai Mohamed, Dean of the Faculty, in which Mr. Abdel Rahman Rady, a member of Drug and Addiction Control Fund, presented a lecture during which he reviewed the symptoms of addiction, its damages, and treatment methods. This was in the presence of faculty members, workers, and students.
The university president emphasized that young people are the pillar of society and its upcoming future, so it is necessary for university to raise awareness of danger of drugs and addiction and their devastating impact on nations and peoples, and the role of the state and its plan in combating addiction and raising awareness to prevent young people from falling into drug addiction.
The symposium dealt with the phenomenon of addiction as one of the most dangerous problems of the era facing societies as it transforms their labor force from an active and productive national force into a destructive one that paralyzes the movement of society and squanders its human wealth, the problems and effects resulting from addiction in various areas of life and the role of state to firmly address them in cooperation with all segments of society.
