Faculty of Graduate Studies for Advanced Science at Beni Suef University receives the second batch of students from STEM School

Prof. Dr. Mansour Hassan, President of Beni Suef University, announced today that the Faculty of Graduate Studies for Advanced Science received the second batch of students from STEM School in Beni Suef to organize a training day in cooperation with the Department of Environment and Industrial Development at the faculty.

The University President explained that the second batch included 20 students from STEM school in the framework of a scientific and training visit aimed at encouraging young researchers to receive science in the necessary and urgent fields for preserving the environment, as well as motivating them to join the college in the future. This was within community activities and enhancing participation with civil society and encouraging young researchers and students to address urgent issues in preserving the environment, wastewater treatment, and researching the best means of recycling it.

Dr. Ahmed Farghali, Dean of the Faculty, indicated that the visit included giving various lectures to students, starting with a lecture on industrial liquid waste, methods of treatment, the meaning of resource sustainability, the energy, food and water system, which was presented by Dr. Asmaa Hammouda, Head of the Department of Environmental Science and Industrial Development, and a lecture on liquid waste management, and recycling. It was reviewed by Dr. Muhammad Abu Al-Saud, a lecturer at the department.

Then, the students conducted a scientific tour at the department's environment and cement laboratories to learn about the devices used to measure drainage indicators and various pollutants, during which they were accompanied by Dr. Ola Abdel Aziz, a Lecturer at the department, Dr. Heba Younis, and Dr. Israa Aladdin.
