The Faculty of Politics and Economics was organized under the auspices of Dr. Mansour Hassan, President of Beni Suef University, in light of Egypt's hosting of the climate summit on November 11 A symposium on climate change and its environmental effects on international economic and political relations, under the supervision of Dr. Naglaa Bakr, Dean of the Faculty of Politics and Economics, and Dr. Mosaad Salama, Professor of Climate and Vice Dean of the Faculty of Arts at Mansoura University, in the presence of faculty members, employees, and students Dr. Mansour Hassan pointed out that there is a responsibility on the university administration to introduce students to everything that is going on around them in the surrounding community and the world as a whole
With the climate summit approaching, it has become necessary to hold introductory seminars on the climate issue and its effects on all aspects of life, through each college dealing with the subject according to the nature of its study to make a state of awareness of the seriousness of the issue, especially since climate change represents a major challenge to the international community, and is of interest to all regional and international circles. It is organized by governmental and non-governmental organizations and bodies, and for its sake many international events are held
Dr. Naglaa Bakr explained that the symposium dealt with several main axes, including the definition of climate, climate changes and their causes, climatic phenomena and political borders, climate and political relations and its impact on wars and resolving results, the impact of climate on water and political relations between international river countries with application to the Nile Valley, climate and economic relations and the application on the impact of climate on economic production of various types and on trade routes and markets and their relationship to global trade with the application on agricultural production and fossil and renewable energy sources
The symposium also dealt with international agreements  that related to the environment and climate, up to the Paris Agreement and the COP 27 climate conference, texts of articles that dealing with economic activities and financing, the impact of climate changes on global political and economic relations with application to low crops, spread of diseases, sea level rise and changing areas of ecotourism, economy Green and its impact on climate change
