President of Beni Suef University receives FAO delegation in Cairo

Today, Prof. Dr. Mansour Hassan, President of Beni Suef University, received the delegation of FAO in Cairo, on the sidelines of attending the opening of FAO model inside the university to qualify students for labor market, which consists of Mr. Tony Al-Atl, Program Coordinator at FAO office in Cairo, Ms. Rawya Al-Dabi, organization's public relations representative, and Mr. Mohamed Moussa, media coordinator, in the presence of Dr. Abdel Alah Sayed, Dean of the Faculty of Agriculture, and Dr. Khaled Adly Supervisor of the Model.
Prof. Dr. Mansour welcomed the delegation at University of Beni Suef, stressing that the university includes a number of unique and diverse colleges in the Middle East, and we have the College of Agriculture, which contains a number of diverse departments and four basic programs, including programs of plant production, animal and poultry production, food and dairy industries, and biotechnology, and the college aims to graduate specialized agricultural engineers equipped with the knowledge and skills necessary to advance agricultural production and industries and manage agricultural projects in accordance with national quality standards and the needs of the local and international labor market, and to establish a model for FAO within the university that aims to improve student projects and graduate and qualify a student capable of working in the foreign market.
On behalf of Dr. Nasr El-Din Haj El-Amin, representative of Food and Agriculture Organization in Egypt, Mr. Tony Al-Atal thanked Dr. Mansour Hassan, president of university and the faculty members, especially the supervisors of FAO model activity within the university for their adoption and support for a voluntary and vital student entity, expressing his happiness with the student and academic gathering in The ceremony of establishing the FAO model at the University of Beni Suef, which gives a great indication of the future of agriculture and food systems in Egypt and perhaps the entire Arab region.
Mr. Tony Al-Atl presented the shield of FAO in Egypt to Dr. Mansour Hassan, President of the University, for his support for all activities and for providing them with all support and for the fruitful cooperation between the organization and Beni Suef University.
