Dr. Mansour Hassan: A specialized unit for the treatment of pediatric cancer at Beni Suef University Hospitals

Mansour Hassan, President of Beni Suef University, announced today the start of work in a specialized unit for the treatment of children’s cancer within the Oncology and Burns Hospital, in light of the constant quest to provide an integrated treatment service in the university’s hospitals, as part of the permanent expansion inside the hospital, adding independent hospitals, units and specialized departments.
Dr. Mansour added that the Pediatric Cancer Treatment Unit is part of the strategic plan for hospital management to integrate medical services, and meet all the needs of citizens to save travel burdens and the hardship of searching for medical services outside Beni Suef Governorate, adding that the unit includes 12 internal beds, and a specialized medical staff of treatment professors Children's cancer in Egypt, and professors of radiology and surgery
it has been equipped with the latest technologies, devices and methods of treatment, stressing that the unit is the first of its kind at the level of northern Upper Egypt, and that it will serve the northern Upper Egypt region. He praised the continuous development process in the university hospitals at the level of service, medical staff and support staff, and equipping the units with the latest technologies and devices, as well as expanding the existing departments and adding 
new departments  and specialized units to serve a larger number of patients
Dr. Atef Mohamed Morsi, Dean of the Faculty of Medicine and Chairman of the Board of Directors of Beni Suef University Hospitals, indicated that there is great support from Dr. Mansour Hassan, President of the University, thanking him for his continuous guidance to support the university hospital with everything it needs to provide a health service at the highest level for the citizen within the governorate of Beni Suef, and that the new unit will make  a revolution in the health system within the province
Dr. Mohamed Shaaban, Executive Director of Beni Suef University Hospitals, praised the continuous support of the university’s presidency, which is the keenness to provide permanent support for the implementation of the hospital’s management plan in continuous development, and the continuous endeavor to develop, equip and expand hospitals to accommodate patients in the region and provide all medical services
