Today, Dr. Mansour Hassan, President of Beni Suef University, inaugurated the diabetic foot clinic, in the presence of Dr. Atef Morsi, Dean of the Faculty of Medicine and Chairman of the Board of Directors of Beni Suef University Hospitals

The president of the university explained that the diabetic foot clinic was opened on the first floor of the hospital, within the framework of the presidential initiative "Right Foot" to provide a new service for diabetics who suffer from diabetic foot complications, where appropriate diagnosis and treatment are provided for free to patients despite its high cost and follow-up the periodic examination of the patient to ensure reassurance and avoid the occurrence of diabetic foot complications, and to raise awareness among diabetics and to spread the culture of foot care to avoid the occurrence of diabetic foot complications
Dr. Atef Morsi, Dean of the Faculty of Medicine, indicated that the clinic includes vascular surgery interventions (through arterial catheterization or surgical opening) and make it without waiting, as well as cleaning surgeries to avoid amputation or amputation at the foot level only instead of amputation of the entire limb so that the patient can practice his life natural as soon as possible
Dr. Mohamed Shaaban, Executive Director of Beni Suef University Hospitals, added that the diabetic foot clinic received 150 patients in the clinic's trial operation phase, and 90% of those cases improved. and that the cost of one spare part for a diabetic foot patient is about 4000 pounds, but it is free of charge within the framework of the presidential initiative
