President of Beni Suef University: Publishing 1,429 scientific research and increasing international cooperation in published research to 63% in order to achieve sustainable development goals during 2021

Mansour Hassan, President of Beni Suef University, announced today that 1429 scientific papers were published during the year 2020-2021, according to the global SCOPUS website, where the highest publication rate was in the field of medicine, then biochemistry, pharmaceuticals and materials science, then physics, and the rest of the research In other disciplines, 129 research papers on the Coronavirus have also been published. This came while he chaired the meeting of the Board of Directors of the University Performance Development Center, in the presence of Dr. Mohamed El-Deeb, Director of the Center, and members of the Board of Directors.
The President of the University added that the percentage of international cooperation in published research reached 63%, and that the largest number of research was published in distinguished journals, as 584 research papers were published in Q1 journals, 421 research papers in Q2 journals, and the rest of research was published in Q3, Q4 journals.
During the report, which was reviewed by Dr. Yasser Falih, Director of the International Publishing Office, regarding university research and the achievement of the sustainable development goals during 2021, which amount to 17 goals, where research achieved the largest proportion of those goals. In the first place, research was able to achieve the third goal of the sustainable development goals, which is “Health With about 900 scientific research, then the seventh goal, which is “clean energy,” then the sixth goal, which is “clean water,” then the ninth goal, which is “industry and innovation,” then the twelfth goal, which is “consumption and production,” then the eleventh goal, which is “cities and local communities”, then the thirteenth goal, which is “climate action”, and then the fifteenth goal, which is “life on land”.
The meeting also discussed a number of topics, including the approval of a questionnaire to indicate the extent of the readiness of laboratories for local and international accreditation, and the quality of equipment required for units of a special nature at the university. It was agreed to put the university’s classification on the home page of Beni Suef University, and approval of an advertising brochure to classify the university.
