Dr. Mansour Hassan, President of Beni Suef University, received today the critic Dr. Ahmed Darwish, the poet Dr. Jamal Al-Shaer, the poet Dr. Sherine El-Adawy, and the singer Ashraf Ali, on the sidelines of the celebration of the International Day of the Arabic Language entitled “The Arabic Language between the Roots of Identity and Global Cultures” in the presence of Dr. Ramadan Amer, Dean of the Faculty of Arts, and Dr. Sherif El-Gayyar, Head of the Department of Arabic Language and Literature.
Dr. Mansour welcomed all those who attended the celebration of the International Day of the Arabic Language, including guests, faculty members and students, stressing that the university has distinguished colleges and institutes, numbering 33 colleges and institutes, distributed over three complexes, namely, West Nile Complex, 55 acres of industrial education, and 330 acres East of the Nile, and is unique from other universities in Egypt and the Middle East in the faculties of navigation sciences and space technology, sciences of people with special needs, postgraduate studies for advanced sciences, and many new distinguished programs and divisions.
Dr. Mansour Hassan called for the necessity of holding awareness and educational seminars to preserve and advance the Arabic language, as it is an urgent necessity and a national and patriotic duty.He stressed his constant quest for interest in Arab heritage, stressing the university's keenness to celebrate the International Day of the Arabic Language annually, emphasizing its value, which occupies great importance.
Dr. Ramadan Amer, Dean of the Faculty, emphasized the President’s continuous support for the Faculty of Arts, and directed to work as one team, which encourages the investment of all available capabilities, describing this effort as what distinguishes the name of Beni Suef University among Egyptian universities.
