Dr. Mansour Hassan, President of Beni Suef University, announced that the university has ranked “601-800” globally and ranked fifth locally at the level of Egyptian universities in the-Impact ranking Which specific to the extent of achieving the goals of the sustainable development strategy. It is also considered the pioneering initiative to recognize universities around the world for its social and economic impact, on the basis of the United Nations goals of sustainable development, as BSU has achieved most of the goals of the strategy. To be evaluated for the university in (15 goals out of 17 goals) which are the goals of this strategy
Dr. Mansour indicated that the university ranked second at the level of Egyptian universities in the goals of healthy water and cleanliness (the sixth goal), responsible consumption and production (the twelfth goal), and peace, justice and the strength of the institution (the sixteenth goal). it also ranked third in the finishing hunger 's goal (the second goal), public health (the third goal), gender equality (the fifth goal), and decent work and economic growth (the eighth goal), and also ranked fourth in the goals of sustainability in cities and communities (the eleventh goal), And the work environment (the thirteenth goal), and the partnership to achieve the goals (the seventeenth goal). Beni Suef University exchanged fifth and sixth place locally in the remaining goals
At the international level, the university has achieved the following arrangements
101-200 in the sixth goal: water and sanitation
201-300 In the second goal which is finishing hunger, the twelfth goal is responsible consumption and production, and the sixteenth goal is peace, justice and the strength of the institution.
301-400 Seven Goal Energy, 13 Goal Business Climate.
401-600 The third goal, public health, the fifth goal, gender equality, the eighth goal, decent work and economic growth, the eleventh goal, sustainability in cities and local communities, the seventeenth goal, partnership to achieve the goals
Dr. Mansour indicated that the university is making a great efforts to achieve the goals of this strategy, as the sustainable development strategy (Egypt Vision 2030) represents an essential station for adopting a clear development process aimed at maximizing the benefit from competitive advantages, and working to achieve the aspirations of the Egyptian people to provide a decent life, for an advanced and prosperous nation that has regional and global leadership
