President of Beni Suef University participates with the Minister of Higher Education in opening the first virtual forum for employment

The day before yesterday, Prof. Dr. Mansour Hassan, President of Beni Suef University, Prof. Dr. Khaled Abdel Ghaffar, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, participated in the launch of the first virtual forum for employment for universities UCCD 2020, in the presence of Prof. / Francis Richardoni, President of the American University in Cairo, Dr. Ashraf Hatim, Advisor of the American University, and Prof./ Leslie Reed, Director of the United States Agency for International Development, and a number of presidents of Egyptian universities.
For his part, Prof. Dr. Mansour Hassan said that organizing the employment forum is a great opportunity to raise the capabilities of Egyptian university students and qualify them to compete in the labor market after graduation, especially in modern sectors and specialties, stressing the importance of the role that the professional development centers play to help students develop their skills, aware them to the needs of the labor market, train them, and raise the level of graduates.
The university president indicated that the virtual online employment forum during which business owners meet university students in a virtual environment and use chat rooms, teleconferencing, webcasts, webinars and e-mails to exchange information about Available jobs, the job seekers, final years students and recent graduates upload their CVs, browse company pavilions, communicate directly with company representatives and attend webinars.
The university president added that the university’s Professional Development Center was able to involve more than 300 university graduates in the conference’s activities, and it worked to provide the opportunity for the business and companies sector, headed by Titan Cement Company in Beni Suef and Saint George International School, to obtain the best human elements from the distinguished graduates to compete in the labor market.
It is worth noting that the National Bank of Egypt is the main partner with more than 40 companies in providing employment and training opportunities at the forum, in addition to the United States Agency for International Development (USAID), the American University in Cairo, and ten governmental universities, including Alexandria, Ain Shams, Aswan, Beni Suef, Mansoura, Menoufia, Minya, Sadat, Sohag and Zagazig.
